Pre-Christmas Toy Swap
Old Mudgeeraba Post Office
08:30 – 10:00
Please join us for a *pre-Christmas Toy Swap* meet up Sunday 8 December, 8:30am - 10am @ the Mudgeeraba Old Post Office. Bring your gently used pre-loved toys that your kids have outgrown and swap for some new-to-you toys to take home, just in time for Christmas! As this is our first of these style events, we are going to run low-key, exclusively for our GCMBA community. We will ask that you make a $5 donation to the Gold Coast Multiple Birth Assoc on arrival (if you can afford to) to help us cover the admin costs of putting on this event. Please bring toys that are in working order, with all pieces included, that you know another child (or children) would love to receive under the tree this Christmas! We're going to ask, if you can, to please arrive as close to 8:30 as possible, and stay for an hour or so, so that it gives everyone a chance to have a good look at available toys from those attending. Obviously, the more people that attend, the bigger the pool of toys will be to choose from, and we are hoping to have a good enough spread to make it worth your while! We will be running this event on an honesty/fairness system - ie. if you bring 5 toys to swap, please only take new-to-you toys home, to allow everyone a chance to participate. Any feedback in advance is welcome, so if you have any questions, please let us know. Otherwise we look forward to having a coffee with you on Sunday 8 Dec. And if this is a success this year, we will consider running a bigger fundraising-style event for the broader GC community next year! *At this stage we will not be taking toy donations in advance, but will consider for next year. *We are investigating charity donation options for remaining toys but would hope that most people will take home anything that doesn't get swapped in case we don't have the volunteer capacity to manage this for this year's event.
